TORONTO (Feb. 1, 2023) – Building on the success of its 2020 debut, Clutch Society returns to the Toronto Motorcycle Show presented by NFP, with an expanded presence for this indie custom motorcycle show-within-a-show experience at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place, February 17-19, 2023. Inspired by the distinct gritty, rugged and raw feel of the home garage, this year’s edition of Clutch Society has more than doubled in size to feature more world-class pro and grassroots builders, more custom bikes, and a unique mix of moto lifestyle artisans and vendors.
The GTA is one of Canada’s leading hubs for this new wave of riders. Clutch Society will reflect the diverse range of moto community groups, with women and indigenous riders, riding social groups, riders who do good for the community, and moto movie buffs.
The Toronto Motorcycle Show has again partnered with Dan Lim of The Moto Foto to curate this motorcycle exhibit. A professional fashion and lifestyle photographer – and avid member of the local moto scene – Lim brings his spirit and passion for the culture and community to this one-of-a-kind concept.
Lim’s enthusiasm is evident when he discusses what’s on tap for the moto community at this year’s Clutch Society. “The feedback from our exhibitors and the moto community in 2020 was phenomenal,” said Lim, who has traveled the world photographing motorcyclists and their love for the community and their bikes. “That word-of-mouth has brought in more builders, bikes and vendors this year, and a new partnership with Hogtunes (who provide audio solutions for every rider). We’re also adding a cool skateboard element since the skate and moto cultures share similar roots.”
“Clutch Society is a motorcycle culture gathering place to introduce and share our vibrant, inclusive, and friendly community with motorcycle enthusiasts. With loads of custom bikes, cool artisans, and a licensed bar, this will be THE place to hang out, have fun and get stoked for the upcoming season,” Lim concluded.
Some of this year’s featured pro builders include (with hyperlinks & Instagram handles):
The Toronto Motorcycle Show is best known as the manufacturers’ show, where riders get hands-on with the newest models from the top brands. But, as the show’s manager, Laurie Paetz, points out, this Toronto event also boasts a wide variety of engaging motorcycle lifestyle content that adds to the show experience.
“Features like Clutch Society add a lot of energy to the show and provide riders of all styles, ages, and experience levels with plenty of fun and new discoveries,” Paetz said.
“When you add in She Rides Night, ExPLR (the new adventure riding zone), the Original Garage Moto V-Twin exhibit, and learn-to-ride programs for kids ages 18 months to 12 years old (with Striders, STACYC and Yamaha Riding Academy), it’s clear to see that the Toronto Motorcycle Show has something for just about everyone who rides or is riding-curious this Family Day weekend.”
This year’s brand line-up includes Aprilia, Can-Am, Harley-Davidson, Honda, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Royal Enfield, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, and Yamaha, and emerging e-bike brands like Surron.
Enthusiasts will also find the latest in riding gear and accessories, along with riding clubs, training schools, destinations, and charity rides, ready to answer all your riding-related questions and help you kick-start the next riding season.
