ENTHUSIASM FOR RIDING STILL STRONG

CALGARY, AB (January 28, 2016) – The Motorcycle Show – Calgary presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance took place at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park from January 8th – 10th, 2016.

Despite the current economic climate and cool temperatures over 30,000 Southern Albertans made their way to the BMO Centre over the course of the three-day Show.  Enthusiasts checked out all the new two, three and four-wheel models from all the major manufacturers.

The annual SHE Rides Nite was held on Friday, January 9th.   When the qualifiers names were drawn and announced the excitement mounted, as there was a one in five chance of winning a brand new Kawasaki.  Denise from Calgary chose the key that started the 2016 Ninja EX300 courtesy of Canadian Kawasaki Motors and Blackfoot Motosports.

The Motor Madness and Mayhem Show drew big crowds throughout the weekend and those that took in the show were treated to some amazing stunt riding, aerial action including Heath Frisby flipping a sled.

The Yamaha Riding Academy was extremely popular and the sessions filled up fast.  Dozens of kids took the opportunity to learn from the professionals in a positive, controlled, supervised environment.  The kids and parents were all smiles when they left the track after completing their riding session.

Twenty seven qualifiers gathered late Sunday afternoon for their chance to win the grand prize, a 2016 Bonneville 800 Street Twin valued at $12,000, graciously provided by Triumph Motorcycles and Blackfoot Motosports.  Andy from Calgary ended up the lucky winner and is eager to take out his brand new bike this Spring.
