NO SHORTAGE OF EXCITEMENT AT THE MONTREAL MOTORCYCLE SHOW SPRING IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!
Montreal, February 17, 2016 – Running February 26 to February 28 at the Palais des congres, the Montreal Motorcycle Show promises to channel spring and the start of the 2016 riding season.
Motorcycle fans are about to make their yearly pilgrimage to the show, whether they’re admiring the newest models on display, checking out this year’s clothing and accessories, viewing custom bikes, attending conferences or simply chatting with others who share their passion for riding. This show isn’t just for experienced riders – plenty of activities are planned that will appeal to the entire family. Here are a few of the attractions you won’t want to miss:
Start them Young!
At the Yamaha Riding Academy, children ages 6 to 12 can test their riding skills at no cost to mom and dad. Suited up in the latest motocross protective gear, young riders are sure to enjoy their free 15-minute session on a Yamaha TT-R off-road minibike in an environment that’s both fun and totally safe, under the watchful eye of certified instructors.
Eye Ride, a genuine BMW experience
Virtual reality rolls into the Show with the new and innovative Eye Ride technology. Stop by the BMW Motorrad Canada booth for a chance to experience this first ever virtual test ride. Wearing specially designed goggles, you’ll discover (or rediscover) the sights, sounds and sensations that make riding so much fun – on-road, off-road or on the race track. Eye Ride does not use 3D animation but rather actual footage captured from eight GoPro cameras.
The “satisfaction” of viewing Rolling Stones motorcycles from Prémont Harley-Davidson
Making their debut in Montreal, will be five of nine jaw-dropping custom Harley-Davidsons that pay tribute to the legendary Rolling Stones. Selected from the private collection of Quebec City’s Laurent Prémont, these bikes are true works of art and have been custom-painted by renowned artist Yves Thibault. The artist spent a full year on the project that masterfully portrays the unique character, personality and energy of each member of the Stones.
Vintage, restored, on-trend, custom … you name it!
There’s a new wave of riders of the custom motorcycle scene and this year’s show is going to have plenty of eye-candy for them to feast their eyes on. Starting with the featured builders of the highly-anticipated documentary Les Vagabonds sur Deux Roues, directed by Youssef Berrouard. All the builders from the documentary, including Clockwork Motorcycles, Hardcore Cycle and Speedbird Motorcycles, as well as clothing brands Teaspoon and Les Loups MC, will be at the Show with their latest builds, design and collections.
The 2016 Show will also welcome a number of other talented motorcycle builders from Quebec, including Garage Sheriff, LétoMoto, MR Motorcycles Renaud, Diosa Customs andRoquechop Design who will all be showing off their new projects as well.
In partnership with BMW Motorrad Canada, Purebreed Cycles will introduce the Brooklyn Project to the show’s visitors. This inaugural collaboration, limited to just 40 custom café racers world-wide, is based on the beloved BMW S1000R roadster. While these bikes will all be the same “under the hood”, each will be crafted according to the individual tastes and preferences of its owner.
Torch Motorcycles will also be in Montreal to showcase Revv-olution, an educational program where women design, engineer and craft their first motorcycles based on their unique needs, body diversity and ride styles.

Talk-Show de Moto – ask the experts!
Journalist and television host Éric Ménard will be sharing his insider’s perspective at the seminar stage with motorcycle enthusiasts all weekend long. Joined by experts, friends and special guests, Éric will be hosting a series of talk-shows on subjects ranging from the newest models and gadgets, to all-terrain, track and adventure riding.
Trials demonstrations
The Association des trialistes amateurs du Québec will be front and centre again this year, but for the first time in Montreal, the demonstrations will be conducted on gas powered bikes. Throughout the weekend, visitors will be treated to a series of thrilling performances that will have audiences all revved up for the start of riding season.
A motorcycle legacy
The Montreal Motorcycle Show is delighted to welcome a very special guest and a representative of the legendary Harley-Davidson brand, Karen Davidson, Creative Director of Harley-Davidson’s General Merchandise Department. Great-granddaughter of the company’s co-founder William A. Davidson, Ms. Davidson has been riding since she was nine. She will be at the Show on Friday,from noon to 1:30 p.m.
