O Canada – let’s see thee ride!

Toronto, Ontario – Ride Canada! a once-in-a-lifetime contest in celebration of our nation’s 150th birthday, sponsored by the Motorcycle & Moped Industry Council (MMIC) and its member companies, announced its grand prize winner today.

MMIC is excited to announce that Darren Magurn from Saint-Clet, QC., is our lucky winner of the $10,000.00 voucher toward a motorcycle of his choice. Darren is a riding enthusiast who tells us that he can’t wait to going shopping at the local dealership. He has a good idea how to spend the money but
wasn’t making firm commitments right away.

MMIC asked Canada’s motorcycle riders for their help in celebrating Canada! Whether they were new to riding or a real pro, we asked enthusiasts to be a part of our celebration and they came through!

Throughout 2017, MMIC assembled the Ride Canada! Motosaic – a brilliant photo mosaic made up of the most inspirational places to ride in Canada – photographed by you, our proud and passionate Canadian motorcycle rider community. Every photo posted on the Motosaic was entered into MMIC’s contest and one lucky person would WIN a $10,000 voucher towards the motorcycle of their choice.

We asked riders and those who wanted to become riders to start taking pictures the day we launched the contest on January 6, 2017 and we asked them to enter often! And that they did! Over 20,000 riders helped build our mosaic, featuring photos of amazing places to ride from all over Canada.

So thank you from MMIC and its member companies to everyone who took part in our celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. Continue to hit the road, grab your camera and shoot the sights and scenes that make our country worth riding for!
