The Vancouver Motorcycle Show annual seven-day countdown has started!

Come see the newest makes and models at the Abbotsford Tradex next week

For Immediate Release
January 11, 2019

Abbotsford, BC – The Vancouver Motorcycle Show is rolling into the Tradex in Abbotsford next week for its annual three-day bike unveiling.

From January 18-20, 2019, gearheads and torque lovers will be able to get their fix and find their ride with up-close and personal looks at the newest makes and models including those from Yamaha, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Aprilia, Kawasaki, BMW, Honda, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, and Piaggio, just to name a few.

Back by popular demand, local stunt group VanCity Stunters will be generating their usual flurry of smoke-filled excitement with their acrobatic motorcycle maneuvering and high-energy performances their fans have come to expect.

New to the outdoor stage this year will be none other than the Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt and Drill Team. Driving up from their hometown in Washington state, the team, who is celebrating their 80th anniversary this year, will be bringing their vintage Harleys – some of which are even older than the team’s official beginning.

Vintage Harley lovers will be able to further satisfy their passion inside the Tradex as well as Trev-Deeley Motorcycles present their highly rare of vintage collection that includes a 1926 JD, 1933 VLE, 1944 EL 1953 K Sport, 1954 FL, 1966 XLH and 1973 SX350.

Seasoned riders attending the Show will not want to miss how-to demonstrations from professional riding instructor Clinton Smout who will demonstrate techniques ranging from clutch control to avoiding obstacles and slow speed maneuvers. Smout’s arsenal of tips and tricks are guaranteed to increase riders’ confidence levels for the riding season ahead.  After visitors are armed with their fill of riding tips, they can relax in the Moto Lifestyle Lounge where they will hear live entertainment and be able to view up-close customized Triumph motorcycles.

SHE Rides is back for its Friday night premier where the entry fee for ladies is cut in half after 5 pm. Excitingly, one lucky lady on this night will walk away with a new Kawasaki Versys – X 300 ABS courtesy of Kawasaki.

And for those who don’t win the She Rides prize, the Kawasaki Double-Take Giveaway has returned. Two Kawasaki Z125 PROs will be given away at the Show on Saturday January 19th. The Z125 PRO is fondly referred to as a nimble streetfighter that is designed to defy what a lightweight motorcycle can be. This motorcycle draw is open to all show attendees, over the age of 19.  Show attendees must fill out their electronic ballots at the Kawasaki booth from 12 pm to 3:45 pm on Saturday to be eligible for the draw that will take place at 4 pm in the front hall.

Yamaha Riding Academy is also returning for kids between the ages of six to 12 who want to learn how to ride the latest Yamaha TT-R off-road motorcycle, in a safe environment and in the company of trained and certified instructors. For the even younger riders is the Show’s Strider Adventure Zone where children as young as 18 months and up to the age of five can take part in test riding a Strider Bike, through a course of tires, rumble strips and ramps. Families are encouraged to visit the adventure zone in the show’s outside feature tent so they can book their children’s riding experience.
